in the Inclusive Classroom (K2C2-22)
This training will focus on including strategies for supporting children with High Functioning Autism and
Asperger  Syndrome.  These visual learning strategies will be beneficial to ALL children within the
Inclusive Classroom.

Portfolio Assessment and Observation (K4C2-41)                    Mon. October 22, 2007 @ Cen Clear    
This training will delve into developmental assessments and the process of developing a student portfolio.

Meeting the Needs of Diverse Learners                         Mon. November 12, 2007 @ CIU
in Math (K2C2-17)
This training will focus on:  Why Students with Learning Difficulties have trouble learning Mathematics. Math Centers and materials will be utilized in conjunction with the PA Academic Math Standards/Early Learning Standards to promote Math development.

Moving into Math, Movement, Literacy                    Tues. December 11, 2007 @ Cen Clear
and Music (K1C2-03/04)    
This research-based, active - learning training provides information about understanding the connection between brain development, math, movement and literacy.

Practical Strategies for Dealing with                    Fri. January 18, 2008 @ Matternville
Behavioral Issues and Disorders – Part II (K2C2-21)
This training will focus on learning practical strategies for dealing with behavioral issues and disorders.

Transition to Kindergarten (K5C2-53)                    Mon. February 11, 2008@ CIU    
This training will focus on practical suggestions and strategies for providing a smooth transition for students from the preschool environment to the kindergarten/school-age setting.

Creating an Inclusive Multicultural Environment                      Fri. March 7, 2008 @ Matternville
(K2C2-32)
This training will focus on teaching strategies to include diverse learners from various cultures and ethnic
backgrounds in the Least Restrictive Environment.  On-site guided practice will be provided at the Penn
State Bennett Family Center.

Differentiating Instruction and Curricular                              Wed. April  9, 2008 @ CIU
Adaptations within the Inclusive Classroom (K2C2-13)                    
This training will focus on strategies for differentiating instruction and adapting curriculum to meet the
needs of diverse learners.  Math and Literacy content will be embedded within the instructional
activities, utilizing the Multiple Intelligences framework.  These activities will be linked to the PA
Math and Literacy Academic Standards/Early Learning Standards.
